Dress like Tyler the Creator
If there’s any musical act to bet on being huge this year it’s Odd Future. Hitting the mainstream with “Yonkers” last year and headed by Tyler, the Creator, they’ve released dozens of albums either for free online or for a price via a record label.
Here’s how to get Tyler the Creator’s style:
Supreme Hats: Tyler’s trademark. Normally found via their website but it’s currently down. You can get them used, on eBay, or at a store near you. (ranges from about $100-120 used, $145-160 new)
A Vintage Hawaiian or print short-sleeved button-up (yes, it’s a mouthful): Complex.com recommends Reyn Spooner, but you can have just as good of luck at a local thrift shop or consignment store.
Necklaces: Metal shell necklace ($4.99 via Urban Outfitters)
Knee-length shorts: Plain, flat front, no-frills available in six colors ($29.99 via Red Kap)
Canvas sneakers: Vans are a classic. Buy them in navy blue, off-white, green, or black. ($29.99-59.99)
Tall socks: American Apparel is a must. Get a white base with colored stripes. ($10.00 via American Apparel)
A black, navy, or brown backpack: See this post
Club Masters: ($145 via Ray-Ban)
Tie Dye Shit
and of course, Odd Future Merchandise
